What kind of work can I find with a Bachelors in Literature

how about a library either city or county might work.

With a background in Literature, u can do many things, from professional librarian (which makes rather decent pay & gets to be around books all day) to editor (reading plays a huge part). Also teacher, professor, etc. Do u really like books & reading? Do not do it for the career, do it for the passion, if u decide u want to study literature later, but get a degree in basket weaving now, it is not too hard to make the change, I know engineers who became restaurant managers, English majors who became computer programmers, getting a degree does not mean you're stuck to that ur whole life. A degree in today is society is malleable, having a degree is the important part, what it is in is less important (usually).

Oh, & freelancing is a decent way to make money while in school, so r paid internships (plus the added benefit of a decent job offer upon graduation).

If all you want is a job to pay the bills, do not close your eyes to basic office work or temp work. Then you can switch jobs to one that better fits your achievement.
Talk to your advisor or the college is career advisor--most have one. The latter in particular should have access to information about jobs that need or are enhanced by a Lit degree.

It is best for graduate work--Literature was my BA. Certainly, if you want to teach in high school, it is sufficient, but I found it difficult to explain the usefulness of my literary skills in the business world. Strangely enough, however, once I got the MA, people did not ask too may questions about qualifications for a variety of positions. reporter, car lot manager, advertising, etc.
